Costumes to Celebrate the Season

Many children wore their Halloween costumes on October 31st and we enjoyed
some fun group activities, songs and stories.

It was such a warm day that we went for a walk around the block to show off our costumes
and to enjoy the sunshine.

Dramatic Play

Play is an important part of child development.  Play is encouraged through the Performing Arts where children will be exposed to a variety of settings and experiences that engage all the senses and involve a variety of modalities including the kinesthetic, auditory and visual.  The arts play a crucial role in improving children’s abilities to learn because they draw on a range of intelligences and learning styles.   Evidence suggests that early arts experiences impact all aspects of a child’s learning and development, and that “earlier is better.”
